Rogers Bar HR is committed
to breed the best. Our commitment to performance testing
can immediately benefit your herd. Take advantage of the
chance to back your next calf crop with 45 years of Rogers
Bar HR's quality and success.
We have used and/or produced many of the breed's Trait Leaders.
HBR Alfalfa 114, HBR Rocky 151, Gibraltar, Bingo, BR Duke 261,
and WCR Duke 815 are some of the Trait Leaders that we have
used to form our cow herd. Many of our bulls are not just single
trait leaders, but double or triple trait leaders like HBR
Magnum 542 P and HBR Program 297 P. We produced two of the
breed's Triple Trait Leaders, HBR Performer 181 P and HBR Magnum
93 P. We purchased an additional Triple Trait Leader, WCR Power
T 2375 P. All these have been trait leaders in weaning, yearling,
and milk. Our bulls are long, thick, and easy fleshing while
their heifers are some of the best milking cows in the nation.
According to a search of AICA’s website for the top 50
bulls in the nation according to Total Maternal EPDs, 29 of
these outstanding bulls were bred by Rogers Bar HR.
We realize, in the future, that carcass traits of bulls will
be important. As a result, we have made a determined effort
to produce bulls with excellent carcass traits. We placed several
bulls on the AICA carcass evaluation program. In addition to
being on the AICA carcass program, HBR Program 297 is one of
the few bulls who have been DNA tested and found to have markers
that indicate he is above average in all phases of tenderness.
He has great phenotype, very docile, homozygous polled and
has some of the best growth numbers in the Charolais breed.
With the assistance of Bovigen Solutions, we have recently
started DNA testing our cattle to locate markers for marbling
and tenderness. We have been pleased with the results. We feel
that this increases the value of Rogers Bar HR cattle. With
the highest EPDs in the nation + outstanding markers for marbling
and tenderness, Rogers Bar HR is able to offer the “Complete
Package.”
If you choose a Rogers' bull you will know that your decision
was right, because you'll know that their 45 years of breeding
experience and one of the largest Charolais herds in the nation
is backing you. |

1% of the breed for Total Maternal EPD. We think he
is the best of a large group of ET calves out of this
mating. He has at least seven Trait Leaders in his
extended pedigree. In the last 44 years we have owned
over 10,000 cows and his dam, HBR Lady GI 207 P ET,
was one of the best we ever owned. His full sister,
HBR Lady Multi 119 P ET, is the top cow in the nation
with a Total Maternal of 48. He will improve most any
herd of cattle.

HBR PROGRAM
218 P
This young bull has excellent
EPDs. He also has at least seven Trait Leaders in his
pedigree and many Multiple Trait Leaders. Most of his
ancestors are polled. His sire (914) is one of the
most popular bulls of the breed and we have had more
than our share of his calves. If you are searching
for bulls with low birth weight and high Total Maternal
EPDs, I doubt you will find one better than 218.
